Aston Martin DB9 Carpet finishers

DB9 Carpet Finisher

Posted on July 10, 2023August 13, 2023 by Paul

DB9 Carpet Finisher, for some reason I can’t fathom some DB9s came with front carpet finishers and some don’t. As far as I can tell these right angled finishers bolt down just inside of the seat rails.

Mine 2006 DB9 did not have these finishers and the carpet had already ripped on the passenger side. The holes were in place, just over 6mm in diameter but no thread or any way of attaching the finishers.

I drilled out the holes slightly larger and fitted M6 Rivnuts so that the finishers could be attached.

The finishers could then be bolted down using M6 * 20mm torx machine screws and the finishers hold the carpet in place securely, making it look neater as well as preventing the carpet from being damaged.

The carpet finishers come in left and right, a pair for each front seat, both seats are the same.
